To support SCS alumni to achieve academic and professional success beyond college and garduate school.

Our Vision

Becoming valuable members of the growing SCS community of volunteers and society and thus serving as a constant resource to all SCS alumni and future students from South Central Los Angeles.

Our Goals

To serve as a community resource that keeps SCS scholars together through professional, academic, and social activities.

To build and maintain a network through which alumni and current scholars can share and use resources, for example, through mentorship, access to online databases and materials, etc.

To support and participate in different events and activities that South Central Scholars holds e.g. planning and speaking at annual conferences, raising college awareness through presentations to high schools, etc.

To assist with recruitment of donors/sponsors, recruiters, and mentors e.g. outreaching to companies to incorporate SCS into their charitable giving programs, and working with them to secure internships or mentorship programs.

To maintain key goals of the AA in both its current and future state.
