David Hou received his BS from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1988 and his MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA in 1992. Prior to graduate school, David worked as a Financial Analyst with Houlihan, Lokey, Howard and Zukin, Inc. in their Financial Restructuring Group. After graduate school, David joined David Sachs' Private Client Services Group and worked in their Los Angeles office for five years. In 1997, David joined the Private Wealth Management Division of Merrill Lynch. At Merrill Lynch, David helped to build the Private Banking and Investment Group. In May 2008, David and his partners launched Luminous Capital. David was named as one of "America's Top 100 Advisers" by Barron's Magazine in 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, and 2004*. He has also been highly ranked by Worth Magazine, Research Magazine, and Reuters AdvicePoint in past years*. David also serves as an Advisory Board member of the UCLA Anderson School of Management Fink Center for Finance.
